Taco Mac is a family favorite at our house. Serves 5-7
1 pkg of Hurd Farm ground beef(1.3lbs)
1 16 oz box of pasta, any shape is fine
1 packet taco seasoning, I use Old El Paso Mild
2/3 cup water
2 cups salsa, I use Tostitos Mild
1 cup sour cream, I use light
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese, I use half Mexican taco, half mild cheddar
Brown the ground beef in a skillet, then drain. Stir in water and taco seasoning, let simmer while still stirring often for 3-4 minutes. While you’re browning the ground beef you should also boil water and cook the pasta. Once the pasta and ground beef are cooked. Mix them in a large casserole dish. Then top with the salsa, sour cream and cheese last. To bake it, I usually set the oven for 350 and put it in right away, then take it out when it is preheated.
Then scoop out and enjoy! We all top with extra sour cream after 🙂
